Elena has a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics and Master’s Degree in International Studies & Non-profit/Public Management. Elena served as a Research Assistant in a USAID project on child welfare in Ukraine and taught internationally focused courses at the University of Oregon. She coordinated the Student Internships’ Exchange for Child Protection (SIECP) Project through the UO that received the US - Russia Civil Society Partnership Award in 2013/14 for promoting the partnership and collaboration among academic, public and non-profit organizations in Eugene and internationally. In addition, Elena conducted a research and taught Russian to heritage students at the Concordia College Language Village and has more than fifteen years of experience working with bilingual families in informal community-based programs. She lives with her two bilingual sons and husband in Eugene, Oregon.
Irina has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. After working for years in California's Silicon Valley, Irina moved to Eugene and joined the Lundquist College of Business, UO, as a web developer. She is greateful for the opportunity to support a local organization that enriches lives of children and adults, and brings beauty into the world.
Lara graduated with a double major in Russian and Theater from Connecticut College, and had an opportunity to study in Moscow for a year, at both the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater and the Russian State University of the Humanities. Lara has been working as the Dean of Russian language immersion camp at Concordia College, Minn. since 2005. She is now the coordinator of the Intensive English Program in the Linguistics Department at the University of Oregon.
