Art classes for children ages 4 to 12. Older artists please consider our Apprenticeship program

At the Little Owl School we try to enable every family to create the schedule that fits its circumstances. Please select your preferred time periods as well as class type during registration. You may also discuss a particular art style, technique or subject matter with your instructor to include it in the curriculum. We always make a sincere effort to accomodate your requests!


Classes are held year-round, indoor and outdoor depending on the weather. The exact day, time, and place of class are determined by the school’s staff and parents.


Our Instructors

Ana Savenkova-Moore usually teaches on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday 3pm to 6pm. Schedule can change depending on demand.


Schedule and Payment Information

All payments can be made with a Donate button on this website.


The school year is broken into terms. Materials fee is payed each term.

  1. Fall: September-October-November
  2. Winter: December-January-February
  3. Spring: March-April-May
  4. Summer: June-July-August

Art classes are organized into sessions. Registration and tuition payment are accepted for a full session.

  • A session consists of four (4) weekly classes and starts at the beginning of each calendar month.
  • Classes are taught once a week. A student may register for more than one session to attend more than one class per week.
  • Regular classes last 60 minutes including 5 minutes for clean-up.
  • Special classes last 90 minutes with a 5-minute break, or 120 minutes with a 7-minute break.

Class Tuition:

Tuition payment for a full session is due before the 7th day of each month. Payments accepted are by check or online, we do not accept cash.

  • Group instruction (3 to 6 students): $20 per student per hour, $80 per session
  • Individual instruction (1 or 2 students): $60 per hour, $240 per session
  • Special classes outside of regular school hours: by agreement, $100 per hour minimum

Materials Fee per Term:

  • $25 per child per term; can be payed with any Donate button on this website

Framing Fee:

Most art exhibitions require artwork on display to be framed. Parents can either frame their children's art themselves, or pay the school to do it.

  • Artwork framing: $20 for a single-use plastic frame (labor and materials). Premium frames - by agreement. The fee can be payed with any Donate button on this website.

Make-up Lesson Policy

  • Lesson canceled with a 24-hour prior notice may be rescheduled within 3 weeks
  • If students are registered for a group class, their make-up class should also be a group class (with 3 or more students).
  • Credit is given next billing cycle
  • Lessons missed without a 24h notice are not credited

Other Policies

Online or paper registration form must be completed before your child can attend class.


Please be on time when dropping off and picking up your child. This is important! We reserve the right to charge a fee for late pick-up. We are not responsible for children left with us after class.


We recommend that students wear aprons or other clothing appropriate for doing art work. Painting is messy!


Scholarships and Discounts

Scholarships for art classes are available. We want to make our program affordable for every child interested in visual arts! Please fill out Scholarship Application.


MCAM&EC membership privileges include 10% or 15% discount on our edicational programs, including art classes. Become a Member and ask about the discount during registration.


We are often in need of volunteers to help out at our events and exhibits. Please consider getting on our Volunteer Mailing List to be notified of the future need. Mark the appropriate check-box on the online registration form or write directly to

Registration Process

  1. Decide on the preferred day and time of your class. The final schedule will be negotiated based on availability.
  2. Submit online registration form at the bottom of the web page.
  3. Pay tuition for the first session online or in person on/before the day of the first class.


ATTENTION: By submitting the registration form you agree that digital images of all and any art-works created by your child (children) during classes and programs organized by the Multicultural Children’s Art Museum and Education Center (MCAM&EC) may be published in electronic and printed form on websites, Facebook, brochures, posters, catalogs, etc., as well as used for promotion and financial support of the Multicultural Children’s Art Museum and Education Center.


MCAM&EC may select students' art-works for display in art exhibits at its own discretion. Parents/guardians will be notified if their student's work has been selected for an exhibit.
