2016 Theme: MY COUNTRY, MY CULTURE.

Explore a culture of your interest or ancestry.

The mission of this event: Inspire children's interest in diverse cultures and heritage that surround them. We invite young artists to study a culture of their neighbor or of their grandparent and express their findings in the form of visual art. We also hope to make the world smaller and better by bringing international children's art to Eugene.

We encourage young artists to tell us about experiences, traditions, celebrations, legends, myths or folk tales of a culture: imagine scenes and characters from a familiar story and depict them using a variety of art media. Please submit only two-dimensional works or something that can be hung on a wall, such as drawings, paintings, collages, bas-reliefs.

The event consists of two parts:

1) An art exhibit at the Eugene Public Library where all works submitted to the organizers will be displayed.

2) An on-line gallery on a Facebook page with images of the artwork: arts4multiculturalWorld on Facebook. The viewers are invited to "like" their favorite art. Artwork that receives the most votes will be given the People's Choice award.

All young artists will receive a certificate of participation.

Submission rules:

The program is open to artists from 3 to 18 years old.
All works must be original and created during the years of 2015-2016.
Digital images should have 300-600 dpi and be no less than 1 MB.
Submission deadline: Monday, September 26, 2016

Please include each work's title as well as the artist's name, age, and contact information including parent's name and email with your submission. All works must be signed by the artist on the front of the canvas or on the back (the very young artists may use parents' help).

Цель конкурса: Пробудить интерес молодых художников к многообразию окружающих их культур. Любая заинтересовавшая ребёнка культура, будь то национальная культура родной бабушки, соседей или же традиции народа, почерпнутые из книг, может быть отражена в форме рисунка или картины.

Проект состоит из двух частей:

1) Выставка картин в городе Юджин в США

2) Онлайн выставка на странице arts4multiculturalWorld on Facebook. Посетители страницы смогут проголосовать за понравившиеся работы. Победители конкурса получат приз зрительских симпатий.

Все художники, приславшие работы на выставку, получат сертификат об участии.

Условия участия:

Возрат художника: от 3 до 18.
Все работы должны быть оригинальными произвидениями, созданными в 2015-2016 годах.
Цифровые фотографии качеством 300-600 dpi, размером на менее 1MB
Заявка должна включать названия всех работ, имя и возраст художника, место жительства, имя и контактную информацию родителя или учителя.
